McLaren 600LT Vehicle Specs – McLaren Tampa Bay
McLaren 600LT
There comes a time when it’s just you and the car. Moments that are uncompromisingly raw. The McLaren 600LT was created for such moments when it’s just the road, tarmac or track ahead. It challenges your ability and your focus. It is the next chapter in the McLaren Longtail history. This is a car that sets a new standard as the fastest, most powerful and track-focused Sports Series ever produced by McLaren that is street legal.
Exterior
The 600LT has all the elements you’d expect in a McLaren Longtail. Hi-lighted by an extended front splitter, lengthened rear diffuser, and fixed rear wing, the elongated profile of the 600LT is tightly sculpted and aggressive. Its aesthetics are unabashedly extreme. Aerodynamically it both slices through and devours the air. Top exit exhausts mounted to the rear of the driver’s shoulders adds an exciting dynamic to the exterior appearance while bringing the incredible sounds of the powertrain nearer to the cabin.
Interior
The interior of the McLaren 600LT is extremely track-focused, as evidenced by its carbon fiber racing seats. First used in the McLaren P1 and the 675LT, this seating wraps occupants in safety while providing an exceptionally light-weight seating option. Lightweight Alcantara is also used throughout the cabin and carpeting is not used either in the footwells or under seats. Air conditioning, audio, and navigation systems are not included to further reduce weight but are available as no-cost options should you prefer.
Performance
From its extreme aerodynamics through its lightweight carbon fiber monocage frame, everything about the 600LT is performance focused. Stiffer springs and a lower ride height provide an exhilarating experience on the road or track. The 600LT is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V-8 engine that generates 457 lb. ft. of torque and 592 HP. With a top speed of 204 mph, this McLaren will take you from zero to 60 in just 2.8 seconds. A seven-speed (plus reverse) transmission is seamless, providing a thrilling, constant sense of acceleration.
Specifications
The 32 valve DOHC valve train and twin-turbo technology of the 3.8 liter, V-8 engine combined with the seamless 7-speed gearbox generates a powerful 457 lb.ft. of torque and an impressive 592 horsepower. This, combined with the 600LT’s svelte 2,994 lb. weight delivers what McLaren engineers are in constant search of optimal power to weight ratios. Not only can the 600LT travel from zero to 60 in a mere 2.8 seconds, its braking is equally impressive, going from 60 mph to zero in about 100 feet flat.
