It all starts with the MonoCage II—an exceptionally robust, rigid, and featherweight chassis at the core of every McLaren supercar. 765LT features carbon fiber body panels, motorsport-inspired polycarbonate glazing, a striking titanium exhaust system, and lightweight dual-spring suspension. The outcome is a nimble supercar, shedding 80kg compared to the already lean 720S. Anything not essential to driver and track focus is omitted, including features like air conditioning, carpeting, and an audio system. The 765LT can be configured to weigh just 1,229kg when dry, boasting an industry-leading power-to-weight ratio of 622PS per ton—a numerical marvel that must be experienced to be fully appreciated.
