McLaren 570GT – Performance
A twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, strong but lightweight construction, a seven-speed transmission, and superior handling combine to make the McLaren 570GT a thrill to drive. Whether you get a grin from its superior acceleration, a thrill from its extraordinary top speed or are surprised by responsiveness that seems to anticipate your wishes, the 570 GT delivers. While a gateway price and more practical features may grab your attention, we know you have high expectations for power and performance when considering a McLaren. The 570GT doesn’t disappoint.
V-8, Twin Turbo Power
The McLaren 570GT generates its muscle from a powerful and efficient twin-turbo, 3.8-liter V-8 engine. The engine is mounted low in the carbon fiber chassis to improve its agility and enhance its balance. Torque increases over its broad powerband, encouraging drivers to make use of all 8500rpm. This McLaren has a heart-pounding top speed of 204 mph while generating some 443 lb-ft of torque. The 570GT can transport driver and passenger from zero to 60 in just a bit over three seconds. Fuel mileage efficiency can be improved through its start/stop system or it may be disengaged.
While McLaren attempts to maximize comfort, power and even storage space in the 570GT, it is obsessive about minimizing weight. McLaren’s engineers have created a safer, stronger vehicle that is nimble and light on its feet. This includes the use of a lightweight aluminum body and carbon fiber Monocell II chassis to improve its power-to-weight ratio. This mission is carried through all aspects of this McLaren from minimizing weight through its wheel options to its braking systems. McLaren has produced one of the lightest automobiles in its class and it pays off in extraordinary power and performance.
Seamless 7-Speed Transmission
The McLaren’s V-8 3.8-liter engine is paired with a 7-speed transmission (plus reverse) that provides for your choice of driving experiences. Choose the automatic mode for the ultimate in ease and convenience or select the manual mode. Driving in manual allows drivers a more connected, personal driving experience through rocker-shift paddles located on the steering wheel. In automatic, shifting is smooth and seamless. Manual can provide just a bit more adrenaline.
Tires and Wheels for Superior Handling and Braking
The McLaren 570GT stands proudly on four specially design 15-spoke, GT alloy wheels mounted with Pirelli P-Zero, noise canceling tires. Through foam technology, these tires minimize road noise and provide an exceptional driving experience. Custom wheels and tires are combined with a lightweight, composite braking system with iron discs and aluminum hubs providing smooth braking even when cold. Carbon ceramic brakes can be chosen as an even more impressive option. These are just two of multiple braking package options available.
